Cole Porter was one of America's greatest songwriters. This is one of his songs performed by Frank Sinatra. Even though Sinatra starts singing in the '30s and '40s, he really captures that feel of the 1920s in his voice and with Porter's lyrics.

This one is interesting to see how the modern dance craze appropriates the Charleston and makes it its own.

I am going to be completely honest in telling you that I have no idea where this video comes from. I just found it amazing in terms of capturing the energy of the dances of the time period.
You can see why people of the time period got so consumed with dancing and cared so little for politics, history, or world events. When you are able to dance like this, little else would matter. Somehow, I find this video to capture this really well.
