Born and Raised in Oregon. With careers orientated to the dwindling Wood Products Industry, we decided to venture out and try to change the face of our home town, Eugene. With a love for all things wood, and all things carefully handmade, we started by collecting Antique Clocks. The fascination grew from there to all items carefully made and lovingly cherished through time. Stone, metal, glass, paper and even plastic became intriguing. You wonder where it came from, and how humans cleverly devised answers to all their needs, and why we cant be more like they were "back then". The development and progression of many utilitarian objects is what "picking" is all about. We found a great group of people who were all addicted to the same questions and answers.
After traveling the country we realized Eugene was lacking in the Antiques and Collectibles area. The showplaces were really sparse....but the "antique-rs" weren't. So many great people with no place to show their finds. It was almost effortless to find the numerous talented and eclectic vendors who make up our mall. Feels like a giant family working together to do something great for each other and the community.
