Portland Art Car Mania!

Art Cars and film land in Portland for the first annual Art Car Mania event. Harrod Blank will be driving up his art car "Oh My God!" the border of Mexico and will be joining Portland's icon art car artists, Scot "Extremo The Clown" Campbell and Reverend Charles Linville (Portland's wackiest retired mailman), among 10-20 other art cars coming in from across the Nation. The schedule of events for Art Car Mania is as follows:

Friday June 25th
Blank's definitive film about the psychology behind the art car artists, "Automorphosis," will be kicking off Portland Art Car Mania on Friday night at 9:00 p.m. at the Clinton St. Theatre. Come to the film early and see the art cars outside the venue.

Saturday June 26th
Art Cars will be on exhibit at Pietros Pizza (10300 SE Main St. Milwaukie, OR) from 1-5 pm. At 5 p.m. the art cars will caravan to the Cosmo Lounge (6707 SE Milwaukee, Portland OR)

Sunday June 27th
Art Cars will be exhibited in front of Beaterville Cafe (2201 N. Killingsworth St. Portland Or) from 1 - 5 pm. At 7 p.m. the art cars will caravan over to the Clinton St. Theater for the closing film of the festival, "Oh My God, It's Harrod Blank" by David Silberberg which starts at 9 p.m. This film covers an in depth look at one art car artist, Harrod Blank, and shows the genesis of this popular art form as it spreads across the Nation.

Automorphosis will continue it's run at the Clinton St. Theatre playing on Sunday June 27 at 7 p.m. and from Mon - Thurs June 28 - July 1st at 7 & 9 pm. The director will be at all screenings except for July 1st screenings.
