The future of Middle-Earth rests in the One Ring, which has been thought lost for centuries. Powerful forces are unrelenting in their search for it, mostly the dark and evil entity known as Sauron. But fate has placed it in the tiny hands of a young Hobbit named Frodo Baggins that inherits the Ring and steps into a dangerous legend. A long and perilous task lies ahead for Frodo when he becomes the Ring bearer - to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged.
Accompanying him are Gandalf the Grey, a wizard of sorts that seems to know more than he lets on. Another companion is Aragorn, a supposed Ranger that helps the Hobbits and company travel across the land. Gimli is also seen traveling with Frodo and the rest. Gimli is a wise-cracking dwarf with an urging to clobber some enemies. Legolas is also seen with the hobbits and others. Legolas is an elven prince, and a master at the bow and swords.
Can Frodo destroy the ring or will he fail not only his friends, but the world? Will everyone make it out alive? Can Frodo trust all those around him or is there an enemy among them? Read the book and find out.
